Quick Tip on Chest Lift with Rotation

In chest lift with rotation:

(Mat work)

Legs and pelvis are remaining stable and rotating the left side of rib cage toward right hip, utilizing left external obliques and right internal obliques to create the rotation correctly.

  • DO NOT DO THIS: upper body (thoracic) is side bending to the right instead of rotating. Note: The right side of rib cage is getting closer to the right side of pelvis.
    THIS IS INCORRECT for this exercise

Also remember if you have DRa (Abdominal separation), this exercise is NOT for you.
